SAVE BIRKDALE’S BUSHLAND
The Commonwealth Birkdale Bushland is part of a key wildlife and koala corridor in our local community.
The inclusion of the ecologically important Commonwealth Land at Birkdale as ‘urban footprint’ in the Draft SEQ Regional Plan has put this land at further threat of future development. As your local member of State Parliament for Capalaba I have objected to its inclusion in the Draft Plan.
I’m calling on the Deputy Premier to exclude this key wildlife habitat from the urban footprint and to take further steps to ensure that this land cannot be developed by Councils through other means. But I need your support, so I’ve started a petition to demonstrate our community’s strong support for this land to be protected.
Together lets save Birkdale’s bushland.
