Discover koalas in the wild with Ranger Stacey and the Detection Dogs

Join a guided koala spotting walk with Ranger Stacey and the detection dogs, to unlock the secrets of finding koalas on Redlands Coast.

Have you ever had the joy of encountering a koala in the wild? Our fluffiest marsupial friend is renowned for loving a game of hide and seek but we’ll show you how to find them.

Join Ranger Stacey and the University of the Sunshine Coast researchers and detection dogs, for a koala spotting walk where you’ll learn trade tips and tricks to find these elusive marsupials in your neighbourhood.

Redland City Council koala conservation officers and the Environmental Partnership Team will be there on the day to answer your questions and show you how we can all help koalas.

Guided walks will start from Orana Street, Victoria Point – leaving at 9am, 10am and 11am.

What to bring: Enclosed walking shoes, sun safe clothing, a hat, sunscreen and a drink bottle
Parking: Leave time to find a carpark in a nearby street.

Notes: All ages welcome. Walks will be approximately 55 minutes and young children may need some
help from a parent or guardian. Children attending must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

This activity is for Redlands Coast residents.
