KAG is writing to ask for your support in raising funds to help Redlands Wildlife Rescue to purchase a thermal drone (and license) to enable the rescue team to locate koalas that have been reported in as sick, knocked by cars and orphaned koalas.
Koalas are notoriously difficult to find in the wild and time is of essence when it comes to treating diseased or injured koalas which results in greater chance of successful treatment, rehabilitation and release. The use of a thermal drone to help with quicker detention of a koala’s location will also enable a better chance of reuniting young joeys who may get separated from their mothers which leads to much better outcomes for them rather than being raised by a human carer.
