Join IndigiScapes for an informal morning walk, talk & small planting at Cleveland’s Black Swamp Wetlands in honour of World Wetlands Day.
With this years World Wetlands Day theme being ‘Wetlands and Human Wellbeing,’
it’s crucial to recognise the profound link between our lives and the health of these ecosystems.
Every effort, no matter how small, contributes to the overall vitality of these habitats and the wildlife that call them home.
Thankfully, we have Community Bushcare groups at three of our significant wetland areas, Black Swamp Wetlands at Cleveland, Egret Colony at Victoria Point and Station Street Wetlands at Wellington Point. All of our Community Bushcare Volunteers make a significant contribution to our local wetlands and waterways. Thank you!
Black Swamp Bushcare Group invite you to celebrate World Wetlands Day with them on Saturday 24 February 2024. Come and learn about a unique urban wetland and the many changes that have taken place at Black Swamp Wetlands over the past 20 years. The walk and talk will be followed by a small planting.
