Help Redlands wildlife and say NO to Council’s proposed changes to increase dog numbers on acreage properties

By December 5, 2022 March 31st, 2023 Archive

Dear members and friends,
Redland City Council is proposing to allow 4 dogs (no permit required) to be kept on private properties sized 10,000 square metres (2.5 acres) and larger (where there is more than one legitimate dwelling on the lot)
Key concerns with these proposed changes are:
• Acreage properties across the Redlands form a vital part of koala/wildlife movement corridors and contain important habitat
• Together multiple dogs are known to form pack behaviour and can pose a significant threat to all wildlife
• Neighbourhood disputes concerning dogs are already a major source of complaints for Council with more than 1800 complaints made in the past 12 months
If you can please spare 5 minutes to say NO to these proposed changes before December 11, 2022.
Thank you for your support in helping protect Redlands native wildlife.
