Jannico Kelk
Bat Photography > Camera Trapping and High Speed Photography

Jannico Kelk is a wildlife photographer and ecologist. He specialises in reptiles, frogs, DSLR camera trapping and bat photography. He uses a mixture of technology, creativity, passion and tenacity to produce vivid imagery and promote conservation. He works for several environmental consultancies and Titley Scientific who specialises in eco-acoustic monitoring products (I.E water proof microphones that record the conversations of bats).

Since his early twenties, Jannico has travelled Australia and the rest of the globe searching for reptiles and frogs.
His work has begun to find its way onto Short Lists, into Magazines, Journals, Books and Win Awards.

He has worked as a Fauna Spotter, catching and relocating animals on mine sites in remote areas. This work fuelled his addictive Wanderlust and Passion for Wildlife Photography. From the Pilbara to the Iron Range in Cape York. From the deep virgin forests of Kalimantan to the red sand dunes of Windorah.
“Eventually, my trips revolved more and more around photography. Now I have a dedicated shelf for my camera equipment and I time my trips with precision to be in the right place at the right time to get the shot!”

Come along for a great evening with Jannico as he talks about his adventure in Nature, the equipment and processes he uses to capture rare, shy and noturnal wildlife!
