Crime fighter Mark Le Grand to speak at Redlands2030 lobby group dinner

FORMER crime fighter and senior lawyer Mark Le Grand will speak at a fundraising dinner for Redlands2030 lobby group.

Mr Le Grand, who lives at Raby Bay, was a member of the National Crime Authority and Queensland’s Criminal Justice Commission.

Redlands2030 president Steve MacDonald said Mr Le Grand would talk about whether there was a two-tier justice system where white collar crooks could seemingly get off with a slap on the wrist, while individuals seemed to be dealt with more harshly when it came to crime.

“We are very honoured that Mr Le Grand has agreed to share his insights and experiences with Redland residents interested in promoting good government at every level,” he said.

“We hope as many people as possible can come along to what promises to be a great event and help raise funds for the important community work carried out by Redlands2030.”

The fundraiser will be at the Redlands Baseball Club, Duncan Road, Sheldon, on Saturday, July 7 at 7pm.

It will feature a three-course dinner, auctions for holiday accommodation and lucky door prizes. Tickets are $40 or $220 for a table for six.
